IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Bands please note – GM Police will be keeping a close watch on timing and number of bands in the queue, they have the right to close the contest early if there are too many waiting. In 2015 at our own discretion we closed the book early so that the main street could be open again at midnight.  We don’t want bands to be disappointed so make sure you arrive in good time!

There will be a Taxi rank organised by Oldham Council just near the crossroads at Huddersfield Road later in the evening

Charity Collection – Whit Friday night – thanks to the generosity of the crowd at our contest, we have been able to donate to three worthy charities, Stephen’s Fund (bandsman Stephen Sykes) the Red Cross Manchester Charity and The Soldiers’ Fund (formerly Army Benevolent Fund) Grateful thanks to all who contributed.

Major Sponsors

We are very grateful to all our major sponsors of the contest and if you would like to know more about them and their products/services please click on the links below. They make our contest possible – please use them if you can.
