Also for their support, advice and liaison throughout the year

Bands please note – GM Police will be keeping a close watch on timing and number of bands in the queue, they have the right to close the contest early if there are too many waiting. In 2015 at our own discretion we closed the book early so that the main street could be open again at midnight.  We don’t want bands to be disappointed so make sure you arrive in good time!

There will be a Taxi rank organised by Oldham Council just near the crossroads at Huddersfield Road later in the evening

Pre-registration is being offered this year on another site set on behalf of Saddleworth and Oldham group of contests. Please do not think this is obligatory. Bands may register on the night as they have always done but please be sure to give the band’s full details and correct name. Details needed will be the same as always. Registration at Delph will be as it always has been. Please bring all the usual details whether you have pre-registered or not i.e. Full name of band, address and and name of contact, copy march to be played in the arena. Stickers with the address to which prize money and report is to be sent are useful as is an envelope addressed to your contact – however this is not obligatory. (Please see additional info on Blog page)
